    Recent Risk Management Assignments

  • Risk Management Consultant to a new mining project in WA, which includes an SX Plant.  Responsibilities include; initial project review, verification of fire protection system design, and fire system commissioning.

  • Project Risk Management.   Protection of a Winder MCC at a large NSW mining facility.

  • Consultant to a WA mining Group.   Responsibilities included completion of a Property Damage and Business Interruption Risk Analysis of the site.

  • Evaluated alternatives to a complete structural upgrading of an 8,000 tph ship loader to identify a cost effective solution with an acceptable level of risk.

 

    Recent International Assignments

  • August 1998 - Malaysia - Completed 8 property loss control surveys of commercial and industrial premises. Significant occupancies included, semiconductor assembly and testing, 5 high rise hotels, and  two rubber products manufacturing facilities

  • March 1998 - Singapore & Malaysia - Completed 8 property loss control surveys of commercial and industrial premises. Significant occupancies included; two large cement plants, computer disk drive assembly and repair, and a high rise office building.

  • June 1997 - Indonesia & Malaysia - Completed 9 property loss control surveys of mining and industrial premises.   Significant occupancies included; gold mining & ore processing, open cut coal mining, palm oil processing, rubber products manufacturing, tobacco processing, cement production, and semiconductor assembly and testing.

  • April 1997 - Korea - Completed 5 property loss control surveys of commercial and industrial premises.  Significant occupancies included; a large pulp and paper mill, and electronic component manufacturing.

  • February 1997 - Manila & Singapore - Completed 10 property loss control surveys of commercial and industrial premises. Significant occupancies included; semiconductor processing, and two large computer centres.

  • October 1996 - Magadan, Far Eastern Region of the Russian Federation - Property and Machinery Breakdown EAR/ALOP survey of an open cut gold mine and ore processing plant in the final stages of construction.

  • September 1996 - Malaysia & Thailand - Completed 8 property loss control surveys of commercial and industrial premises. Significant occupancies included; semiconductor processing, a vehicle assembly plant, and a new pulp and paper mill with a black liquor recovery boiler.

  • April 1996 - Malaysia - Completed 7 property loss control surveys of commercial and industrial premises. Significant occupancies included; a cement plant, electrical equipment assembly, rubber processing plant, and a new high rise hotel complex under construction.

  • October 1995 - Malaysia and Singapore - Completed 12 property loss control surveys. Significant occupancies included; vehicle final assembly, palm oil processing, electronic equipment assembly, and aerosol filling.

  • June 1995 - Banka Island, Indonesia - Property loss control survey of a tin mining and dredging operation.
  • January 1993 - Richards Bay, South Africa - Property and machinery loss control survey of a large mineral sand mining and titanium smelting operation.
